About Us
Welcome to the Outpatient Department at AMNCH. We hope you find this a useful resource, please let us know if there is anything more you would like to see.
The General Adult Outpatient's Department at AMNCH caters for more than 120,000 patients every year. We run clinics from 08.30 am to 18.30 pm every day Monday to Friday.
Our Philosophy of Care
We believe the patient should be treated with dignity at all times and have their health needs attended
Our aim is to provide an environment where the most skilled and appropriate care shall be given to the patients by caring and professional staff.
We endeavour to provide a relaxed atmosphere in the clinic where all patients feel comfortable and confident to ask questions regarding their health.
At all times we strive to improve the quality of care provided to the patient.
A few things to know in preparation for your visit
- You will be invited to attend for an appointment at a specific time. We ask you not to attend more than 15 minutes before your appointed time. Unfortunately due to individual cases and clinical need you may not always be seen at the exact time of your appointment, but we endeavour to do so at all times.
- At each visit you should check in with the receptionist. You will most likely then be seen by a staff nurse, who may take your blood pressure and ask you some questions. After this you will see the doctor for your appointment
- Please bring a list of your current medications with you, so you can discuss this with the doctor.
The Nursing Staff are always available to discuss any queries or issues you may have.
