Healthlink

Healthlink provide a web-based messaging service which allows the secure transfer of patient information over the internet into the GP system. Currently, GPs can receive the following messages from AMNCH:

• Radiology results ordered by GPs
• Laboratory results ordered by GPs
• Patient notification for admissions, discharges, deaths

The single point of contact for issues relating to Healthlink messages in these discrete areas are:

Healthlink Online is free to GPs and full set-up and training on the use of the system is provided. If you are interested in registering, you can apply on www.healthlink.ie. Once Healthlink receives your application form, you will be set up on the system within two weeks. If you are a user of Healthlink from Naas, you should also contact Healthlink and request a set-up for AMNCH.

Electronic Discharge Letter IT System (TEAMS System)

All inpatient discharge letters are completed electronically in the Adelaide & Meath Hospital, incorporating The National Children's Hospital (AMNCH).

The electronic discharge letter IT system (TEAMS) is also set up with Healthlink. Therefore, if you as a GP have registered with Healthlink,
you can receive an electronic copy of the discharge letter directly to you in realtime.

Later in the year, daycases discharge letters will also be completed electronically in AMNCH, which means you will be able to get a copy of
the daycase discharge letter in realtime if you are linked to AMNCH though Healthlink.
