Hospital Welcomes New Chair of Interim Board of Tallaght Hospital
The Hospital welcomes the nomination of Sir Keith Pearson, by The Most Reverend Dr Michael Jackson, Archbishop of Dublin, to the Board of Tallaght Hospital. Subject to election by the board, Sir Keith will be the new Independent Chair of Tallaght Hospital Board following a major re-structuring of governance arrangements.
Sir Keith Pearson is Chair of the NHS Confederation, the independent membership body for the full range of organisations that make up the modern NHS, and was formerly Chair of the East of England Strategic Health Authority. Sir Keith is highly regarded for his healthcare expertise and knowledge gained through more than 30 years of working in the healthcare sector. Prior to working in the NHS, Sir Keith worked with BUPA for 17 years, five of which were based in Hong Kong as their Chief Executive. He moved on from BUPA to become Chief Executive of AON's operations in Thailand and then in Singapore.
Sir Keith Pearson brings leadership and a depth of experience of strategic management to the role. His expertise and knowledge of the healthcare sector will also be of great benefit to the Board and the Hospital as it continues to focus on the improvement of quality patient care and financial recovery.
The other appointments to the Interim Board of Tallaght Hospital will be made shortly.
