Hospital Welcomes New Interim Board of Tallaght Hospital
The Interim Board of Tallaght Hospital held its inaugural meeting yesterday, December 21st 2011. The composition of the new Interim Board was agreed with the Minister for Health, the Hospital Board, Archbishop Michael Jackson and the three Foundations.
Minister James Reilly TD visited Tallaght Hospital yesterday to meet with the Interim Board to relay his support its members to implement a contemporary and future proofed governance structure that provides stewardship for safe quality care for patients while overseeing a challenging financial turnaround.
The Hospital welcomes the appointment of Mr. Andreas McConnell, Mrs. Mairead Shields, Prof. Patrick Prendergast, Mr. Tom O’Higgins, Mr. Liam Dowdall, Archdeacon David Pierpoint and Mr. Peter Byrne to the Interim Board. Sir Keith Pearson has been appointed as Chair.
