How You Can Help

USE ALCOHOL HAND GEL /WASH YOUR HANDS

Alcohol hand gel is provided at the entrance to the Hospital and is located on all wards and in clinical and out-patient areas of the Hospital. This is for the use of all staff, patients and visitors and should be used before contact with your relative when hands are not visibly dirty and before leaving the ward/Hospital.

However, it is important to wash your hands with soap and water if they are soiled, after visiting the toilet and during outbreaks of Norovirus, the winter vomiting bug, and Clostridium Difficle outbreaks as alcohol gel is ineffective.
